I worked for a caterer (stone chef, tampa,fl) that had 2 weddings the same day...both far apart....the two vans went to the wrong wedding each....the two weddings had the wrong table clothes and personalized napkins....the wedding out at honeymoon island was on the beach and they had no silverware....they paid for a coffee station and there were no cups....they ordered specialty drinks and all the wrong liquor was there...with no ice....and they had someone Else's food....they ordered surf and turf and got swedish meat instead....the other party loved the food, obviously....but still had someone elses napkins and table cloths and had paper plates and plastic silverware....no champagne and boatload of liquor.....the brides mom at the beech was ready to kill someone...the bride was in tears....the groom was sober and also very pissed....I was the lucky one because I was the emergency driver that drove the 75 miles between the two weddings to exchange the items and missed most of the fireworks

What I told my students was that I do not tie shoes, but find a friend who knows how to tie and have them help you. I have seen students do a better job of teaching other students how to tie than grownups can. My dog started having bumps appear on his face, eyes, and body and his face was VERY swollen. We took him to the vet, the doctor couldn't see him because he was acting "vicious" and the only choice was to put him to sleep, yet the vet we have took him to before they put a muzzle on him. They checked him from a distance and said it was hives, The veterinarian said that prednisone and benadryl would help, and sent him saying it was just hives. Well this morning he was doing fine, more hives popped up on his body, but the swelling on his face went down alot. The last time we gave him the benadryl and prednisone was around 8-12 hours ago, but we also bathed him in green tea, we searched it "how to soothe hives on digs" & it helped alot but, Right now it has gotten alot worst, his eyes are blood shot red and swollen, his ears are inflamed, his chest is very red, his glands look swollen, and when he breathes it's very short, like it's really hard to or he can't. He threw up, a very large pile. He's a hyper active dog, and he's not acting his self; we have to pick him up to get him on the bed (usually he jumps up there fine), he cant sleep, and he keeps shaking his head lightly like his ears are really bothering him. My dad is taking him to the vet now, but do you have an idea what this is? Please help!

Hoax. Anyone having this procedure done knows exactly what they are in for. It is explained, and you do sign doents. Most people have a mild sedative. But not all, its the patients choice. My husband suffers from colitis. He has had so many colonoscopies, he can't count them. He does have them done without medication, because he does not like the way the medication makes him feel. (groggy, slow). The first time is the most traumatic. He says after that at least you know what your in for. I have been present when he is having this procedure done. He grips the table, and yells. It is necessary for him to have regular colonoscopies, to determine if and when they must remove the large intestine and wear a bag. Not a joking matter.

I am teaching a camp to rising 9th graders in biotechnology for one week of mornings. we will extract their DNA, do pcr, run a gel. I figure these kids chose to sign up for a technology camp and will want to do and learn about science. know you would have to drink a ridiculously large amount to actually overdose, but how much is just too much? On weekdays , I normally drink about 500-700 mg of caffeine ( 8 oz of coffee=100 mg roughly)spread throughout about 18 hours. On the weekends I drink absolutely none. 2 days ago and I really wanted to eat solids so my bf bought me a mcdonalds cheeseburger, fries, and some chicken nuggets. Hi, I'm 15. The last few days I have been noticing something weird. In Ed cl they talked to us about doing monthly exams of our testicles to check for bumps which could be cancer. Well I did one, and I noticed a SMALL bump on the bottom of the left testicle. I also notice that my left testicle seems to be a bit harder then my right one if you can understand that. I have my yearly physical at my doctors office in 2 weeks so I will talk to her about it then. Part of the physical is checking for bumps to so she should notice something.

3 hour glucose tolerance test for gestational diabetes?

I flunked my first glucose test and have to take the 3 hour one. I was hypoglycemic before pregnancy, and I know that has to affect the results, because I can't eat anything for 12 hours before the test, then drinking the sugary drink will cause my blood sugar to skyrocket. Does that mean I have gestational diabetes? I know hypoglycemia is low blood sugar and diabetes is high. How do they tell the difference in the test? I eliminated refined sugar about two months ago (not because I'm diabetic, but to improve my overall mental health). Patient People: My Friend May Be Sick..?

Sick, as in eating disorder. Lately she has become obsessed with her weight. She used to be all muscle, 6 pack, when she was a nationally trained gymnast. She quit, got some meat on her bones, and now she is 100% obsessive with losing it. She runs everyday, even when she was on vacation. After running, she forces herself to do conditioning. Then at night, HUGE conditioning set. She does not snack, and fasted for two days once. But then she fainted when she went running and went home and had "some chicken". Her diet basically only consists of chicken and fruit. If there's no fruit, she has a granola bar. If she is hungry at night, I've seen, she doesn't let herself eat. She thinks eating after dinner is bad. But she only picks at her dinner anyway! She just seems weaker, more tired to do her workouts, yet she doesn't take days off. And on top of that, she got sick the other day, REALLY sick throwing up, and she still FORCED herself to run! Her legs look skinny and like ALL muscle. And when I hug her, all I feel is bone in her back and her spine pulling through. I need some support on this, to know I'm right in telling her mo and dad.

My daycare mom was the first one to actually give my daughter finger foods and she started with cheerios. Was at 8 months too. She loved them. I have really bad stomach problems and I have been to many doctors. I have gotten a colonoscopy, endoscopy, i have been to a G.I. doctor and everything. NO ONE CAN FIGURE THIS OUT. I do not have IBS. My symptoms are mucus in my stool and really bad lower stomach pain until the stool comes out. I also have a lot of gas. Please, I need some answers. Have you tested the water? Perhaps the cycle was thrown off by something and you didn't notice. Healthy goldfish just don't get fungus when in good water conditions. Maybe it wasn't fungus at all but just shedding of the slimecoat? What did you medicate with?

I got my ball python a week and half ago. This is the first time shes shedding. I have gave her a bath a few days ago and planning on doing it today again. Her head shed came off and a spot on her belly came off and the shed looks wrinkly and dryish.. I spray her with water too. Also i will probably feed her tomorrow. I am also going to get a spray for her at my reptile store for her shedding problem tomorrow. But i just wanted to know if there is anything else that i can do for her. I have paper towels on top of the cage covering to maintain good humidity. I have an undertank heat pad and i dont have a humidity or temp measurer. Acne? How do i get rid of it?

Ive never been one to break out, just here and there, veryyyyy rare, but recently I have been having break outs and OMG they get really red and huge, hurt, its gross, scarring my skin, making me self concious. Ive gone to see a dermatologist and have been using the medication, it helps somewhat but im still having the break outs. I cant use to many over the counter things, my skin is very sensitive. Anybody know what i can do to make them go away or help with the severity of them. First of all, I do believe that evolution is the process by which God chose to develop the species, however the study that was done (but still incomplete) does not in any way "prove" evolution of higher mammals. It is studying E coli, not mammals, so far it is simply indicating a possibility thereby making the process more likely.

I have been having severe anxiety due to my fathers' death and have been prescribed xanax. Is this safe?

I am not on any prescription meds, don't drink or smoke eat healthy, am not overweight, etc. My dad died recently, and i have been really stressed out helping take care of my mom. yesterday my blood pressure was 146/94. 150/100, 146/98, etc. according to my mom's portable home bp machine (my mom checked hers and it was normal according to the machine). i do not have hypertension normally. I went to a dr. (my normal dr. is on vacation) and he prescribed .5 mg of xanax to take twice a day. he did blood tests but said that he though that everything was most likely normal, that my bp was rising because of stress and possible panic atacks. my bp at the drs. office was 116/80. I have been taking the xanax for the past day, but i have read about about it and it is scary to me. the dr. stressed that i really need it, at least for a little while. will this be safe to take until next week when i see my actual dr.? I am hoping that he can prescribe something safer.

I'm a pretty chubby, ok obese. I'm a young 20's something women. I want to not only look better, but I want to also feel better and healthier. I'm getting to the point where I will want a baby not to far off in the future ( the point is minute). I don't have any health problems, no diabetes, not hypertension, nothing. I don't know if this is what is holding me back or not? I always put myself on a diet, and exercise regulary (2 hrs a night). Then I always quit, and then i'm off for a month or so, then go back to the whole diet regime. I can never stick with it and I can't muster up the will power or motivation to just keep going. & before i know it I will have all those health problems and not be able to be healthy for the future things. but all in all, where do I find this motivation to keep going? Is is better to put them in a fish bowl, or in a cycling tank?

Okay, so here's my issue, I have a 10g aquarium that's all the way cycled and aged 8 months that my fantail goldfish lives in. I bought (day before yesterday) a 29g tank and am trying to get it set up and cycled. The problem is that (technically) yesterday my parents bought me two "buddies" for my fish and her new tank. They don't understand cycling OR isolation. I had planned on doing this all myself, cycling the 29, putting Gremlin in IT and using her old tank as the qt for ONE other fish. So I have the fish (both about an inch long) in a fish bowl with cultured gravel from Grim's tank and a bubble stone. Is it safer to put them in a fishbowl where I can do VERY frequent water changes to keep levels down, or in the cycling tank, where I need to let the ammonia and nitrite levels spike and fall again?

My family moved to Australia 6 years ago because my parents found life more relaxed and laid back here. Education is much less stressful for kids and the lifestyle is a refreshing change. Although we are already Australian citizens, being used to the hubbub life in Singapore, we find life here extremely calm and quiet. My daughter has struggled going to public school since we moved to this town 3 years ago. Her grades start out fine, but then her attendance starts to slip, she has had some health issues in the past and also a few girls in her school are making it hard for her to want to go. Cheap(er) Gaming Laptop?
