Girl advice? Dont know how to go about it...?

I've been talking to a girl the past few months, we've only been friends but we definitely flirt alot and hang out one on one. We have never hooked up but latley ive strated having very strong feelings for her, and we always talk about it but it never seems serious so today I couldnt take it anymore and made her tell me where her heads at. She kept saying she doesnt know blah blah blah and finally she says how much she likes hanging out wiht me and talking to me daily but doesnt think with everything going on in our lives (ex's, what not) that its nto such a good idea right now. so I was like you just wanna be friends and she said yeah but maybe in the future things could be different but for now firend are good. I really need to know if you think this is her way of trying to preserve the friendship and the same time telling me we will never be . Or if she thinks in time things can change? Its just hard cuz i really have strong feelings for her and if theres anything I could say to her to hint if the future could work out or what. There is also another girl that has been texting me and im not sure how ifeel about her but id like to know with the first girl completely before i start to think about texting another girl... thanks
