I'm thinking of starting DJ'ing?

I am going to buy the Numark Virtual Vinyl pack that comes with a sound card box, the software, two timecode cd's and two timecode vinyls. For those who don't know, a timecode cd or vinyl is something that you use like a normal cd/vinyl but the music is on your computer not the cd/vinyl. I was wondering if I should use the tradition vinyl turntables or the new modern cd decks? I DON'T want to by a console like the Hercules Console MK2. Either cd or vinyl
