Can I get a pport to travel to France if I have an unclified Felony on my record?

8 years ago I was convicted of an unclified Felony for delivery of less than 5grams of Cocaine. I was a stupid teenager (19) and have been clean ever since. Its the only thing on my record. In my state its not possible to expunge this but it can be reopened and possibly lowered to a misdemeanor. I want to do this because my girlfriend is from France and I want to be able to go there with her to meet her family and possibly live there someday. How do I find out if France would let me in or what I would have to do to make this possible??
