My friends soon to be ex won't let him see his son what are his rights?

My friend recently moved out and is filing divorce because his soon to be ex has don a complete 360. She is smoking weed, her attitude has changed, and she moved some druggie guy into their house. He tried to take the kids but she wouldn't let him. He called the police they said there was nothing he could do. He called DHS and they said the same thing. He has gotten a lawyer and was told that since the oldest is not blood related there is nothing he can do but he can request custody of his son. They went to court a few weeks ago and the judge told her to let him see his son and she is still refusing. His lawyer is requesting another hearing but they can't get one till December. Isn't there anything else he can do? We live in Oklahoma if that helps. I don't think it's fair that the father is treated like this. Doesn't he have the right to see his son too? He is sending money on a prepaid visa to make sure the kids are taken care of as well. Any info appreciated.
