The bible says that God is the ONLY judge...?

why is it then that Catholics presume to know that the alleged "Saints" are in heaven? No man knows their whereabouts - only the Lord (the judge) does. Since that is the case, does not logic dictate that Catholics may be offering up prayers to the damned?
