Do you ever get dreams...?

It's very common, really, and it's usually symbolic, not about your parents actually dying. You really need to look at the entire dream, and how all the symbols interact for an interpretation, though. There are many reasons for it, it could be that the parent has left one phase of life, and is entering a new phase of life, this could be things like a new job, a new cl, getting all the kids out of the house and re-defining their lives in terms of who they are as people, instead of as someone else's parent. It could be something like noticing growth, on your own part, as you get older, you may dream of a parent dying because you don't need them to be "mommy" or "daddy" any more, and you're ready to stand on your own without them right next to you any more...if your parents are getting well on in years, it could be sort of a rehearsal, sort of like bracing yourself for the eventual reality that they will die one day...there are many reasons for it, it depends on the other symbols, but dreams of death are most often about beginnings and endings.
