Laserpod galaxy? Any good?

I'm thinking about getting a laserpod galaxy for my dorm room. I chose galaxy over supernova because I wanted the gl dome so I could use it like a lava lamp just sitting on my desk during the day. Are these things worth it? Again I was thinking the Mathmos Space projector would be pretty cool as well, but I would like something I can sit on my desk and use like a cool looking lava lamp as well. Opinions would be greatly appreciated.
